Welcome to the Model Philosopher, your one-stop shop for pretention and over-introspection about modelling.
I know what you’re thinking “oh great, another opinionated blog from another modeller who thinks his thinking is worthy of my eyeballs and valuable time.”
OK, you got me. but I hope some of what I post might be of interest, and if it isn’t: well, at least it was free.
I’ll try to post once a week. Thanks for reading when you do.

Just started reading your blog. Interesting stuff so far Chris. 🙂
Thanks!
Chris,
I have read a few of your posts and wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your “pretention and over-introspection about modelling.”
I miss the old days of blogs–when a short essay could generate some conversation, or maybe you could take the conversation to a web forum (those are what I really miss!)
I think the META/X hydra is attempting to devour our attention spans so we can only communicate with emoticons and tweets. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good reaction gif as much as anyone. Facebook has its uses but deeper discussions are not one of them.
Thanks again.
I look forward to much navel-gazing!
Thanks Raphael, I think Facebook is OK for a conversation, but Instagram is really only about photos and is not optimised for conversation, and Twitter/X is too limited by the character limit for this sort of thing, plus in recent times it’s become more gladiatorial than collaborative
For me, this is the best format as it allows me to write longer pieces (which give me more room to think) and I can illustrate them easier.
Thanks for reading them
I agree with Raphael.
